I am a wife, daughter, mother, sibling, and friend.

I come with my fair share of worries and anxieties throughout the day. What about you?

But never, in all of my days, would I desire to cast my cares on another person. But that’s what God advises us to do with Him.

Casting Cares

God wants us to give our worries to Him because He is the only one capable of taking them on. Sure, we can share our burdens with friends and family for prayer and help, but they aren’t capable of carrying them day after day.

And they weren’t meant to. Which is why we need to get comfortable with consistently giving our concerns to God.

And the only way to do this is by making the habit. So make it a daily habit, even hourly, to hand over what ails you; set an intention of sharing with God your concerns, and He will give you rest!

  1. This is a great reminder to give our worries and concerns to God. And such a great point, even though it may be comforting to confide in a friend, they are ultimately not the one (or at least only one) to talk to. God is the only one who can provide us true healing and comfort!

    • Sometimes we forget that God works not only through people, but also through the Holy Spirit within us. So it’s always good to speak directly to Him, and He will be the one to provide us with the people, circumstances, or even words to get us through our difficulties!

  2. It’s so true! Anxiety riddles most of us. Little worries here and there add up to larger problems. What a great idea to give it over to God, even hourly. I tend to call a confidant more often than I talk to God about my worries. I really need to make a habit turning the table; calling on God more than a friend. <3 Thank you for sharing! Beautiful Printable!

    • Thanks, Katie! I think it’s important to point out that God uses our confidants for His purposes as well, especially when we don’t seek Him directly or listen to what He has to say. So He still is in control of everything, but it’s great to get into the habit of speaking and listening directly to Him!
