Prayer is something that Jesus constantly did.

He prayed before walking on water, and even before being captured for crucifixion. And He mostly prayed in private, without an audience to influence His personal time with God.

So not only does prayer provide God with our undivided attention, but it also allows us to access His power. And His power is capable of casting out demons, healing paralytics and lepers, and raising people from the dead!

Accessing His Power

To point out, prayer doesn’t have to be eloquent, lengthy, or performed during the right circumstances. Just as conversation is conducted with others in our daily lives, prayer should be used in the same effortless manner.

And, more emphatically, prayer should be meaningful and continuous. The more we talk to God, the more genuine and consistent our petitions and praises become.

And from this standpoint, we are given access to His amazing power. So by knowing that He has provided us with this, wouldn’t you want to pray to Him more often?
