Christ had no sin in His life.

Blameless from start to finish, He still forgave others for sinning against Him and His Father. He still healed those that were suffering, and had mercy upon those that desired it.

And He gave His life for us! Because Jesus believed and preached that there is no greater love than sacrificing one’s life for others (John 15:13).

Demonstrating Love

With Christ’s life and death, we are given the greatest demonstration of God’s love for us. But sometimes we need to be reminded of the immensity of His love.

So whenever you are feeling like sin is too great in your life, recall that He loves you enough to sacrifice His Son for. And I don’t know of any parent that is willing to give up their child for others!

So take comfort in Scripture, having confidence in His Word to help reignite His love in your life. Root yourself deeply in the understanding that He is a great God, loving all of us despite our blemishes and flaws!

  1. What extravagant love! Jesus loved us first, while we weren’t even looking His way, while we were doing our own thing, while we were yet sinners, He broke through onto the scene, and extravagantly loved us and died for us! Wow.
